Language Exchange in Valencia or How to Optimize Your Erasmus Experience
Valencia has a large international student community. Therefore there are many initiatives that aim to bring closer foreign students with local students.
Read this post to join Valencia’s international community of students. Make new friends, share experience and culture while improving your language skills!
First of all, ‘Valencia language exchange’ is an organization run by volunteers which organizes all kind of activities such as parties, excursions, etc. which helps to bring students together.
Another initiative worth checking is Meetup Valencia. They organize exchange guided conversation in order to improve not only your language skills but also your communication skills. However, I would only recommend it if you are fluent (or advance) in English.
There is also Tandem (or language exchange), which takes place in different cafés/ bars around the city every day. Take a look and find your perfect Tandem!
Pub Big Ben: This British style pub situated in Honduras Square offers English, Spanish, French and German exchange from 20 p.m.
Upper Club: every Tuesday from 20 p.m. hours. This exchange is organized by ‘Valencia Language Exchange’, a community of students who organize several events to help foreign and local students to mingle.
Café Berlin: This cool café in the area of Ruzafa (Cádiz, 22) hosts French- Spanish exchange every Tuesday at 7: 30 p.m.

Café Berlin: this café repeats experience but this time in English and starting form 8 p.m..
Portland Ale House (Salamanca, 10) Practice your Spanish/ English while enjoying free drinks and tapas in this American Bar that serves probably the best burgers in Valencia. The language exchange starts at 8:30 p.m. and after 11 p.m. the karaoke night starts. The perfect occasion to practice your English skills!
