How can I book my accommodation with Beroomers?

Booking your accommodation through our platform is an easy and safe process. You just have to follow the next steps:

- Find your ideal accommodation through our platform within our wide range of offers all around Europe and the US: select an address, university or landmark and narrow your search by using our filters according to your search criteria.

- Get in touch with your future Roomers and get to know a lot more about who and where you will live.

- Book a room or flat: we will charge and refund 0,50€ on your account to process your booking request. This way, we want to help you make sure that your card is working properly and that the booking process will go smoothly.

- Wait for the providers confirmation: this will take a maximum of 2 working days. Only if the booking is confirmed will the first month rent, plus our service fee, be charged in your account.

- Reach your destination and start living the experience… Congratulations you are a roomer now!

Is there a minimum length of stay?

The minimum length of stay depends completely on the accommodation provider and the period of the year. For this reason, we suggest you to take a look at the conditions for each accommodation. In case you have any doubt, please feel free to contact us.

Can I visit the apartment before renting it?

At Beroomers we work online, offering all the necessary guarantees so you can find your ideal home without having to visit it. Our idea is that you can save time and money by making online booking a safe process, both through our payment system and the 24 hours protection you will have after check-in.

This protection means that we will not transfer your money to the landlord until you confirm us that you found everything correct. The properties listed are verified, so it is extremely rare that something unexpected arises.

One of the things we really like about working online is that it allows us to respect the privacy of current tenants, as they do not have to receive visits. Likewise, by booking through Beroomers you make sure that in the future you will not receive visits whilst living in the room or flat.

How can I make sure that my accommodation is close to my work of studies center?

Just include the exact address or name of your center when looking for your accommodation, and our platform will automatically display the options close to the indicated landmark. Plus, the site will provide you with additional information such as the exact distance between the accommodation and the center, or the time it will take to reach by public transport, walking or by car.

Is it compulsory to sign a contract with the accommodation provider?

It sure is. It is a way to protect tenants and providers, by making sure everything has been specifically mentioned in the tenancy agreement. Plus, it will help avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and will guarantee your deposit is refunded at the end of your stay.

Booking Process

How do I book an accommodation?

It’s very simple. Just follow these three steps of How it Works.

What payment options do I have?

Bookings can be done via Paypal or by credit card through our online platform in a safe and easy way. In order to process your booking request we will charge 0,50€ on your account and refund them immediately. This way, we want to help you make sure that your card is working properly and that, once the landlord confirms your booking, everything will go smoothly. It may take a few days for the 0,50€ to appear on your account again, depending on your bank. From this moment, the landlord will have 2 working days to accept your request. Only then we will charge the total booking amount on your account.

Why do I have to pay in advance?

When booking a room, the amount will not be charged on your credit card until the provider accepts the booking. Booking a room in advance allows you to save: it saves you from the hassle of reaching your destination without having a place to stay, saves you the time of looking for a room and visiting flats and saves you the extra money you have to spend on hostels or hotels until you find your room. Paying in advance is the safe way to guarantee the room booked will be available for you upon your arrival.

What happens after I book a room?

Once you book a room the accommodation provider will be automatically noticed about your booking and will have 2 working days to confirm the booking. Within that period you will receive an email confirming the booking, which is when your booking will be charged on your card. If the booking is not confirmed, the booking will not be charged and we will reach you to help you find similar options for you to book. Regarding our booking, we will only be transferring your booking to the accommodation provider after you have arrived and checked-in to ensure everything goes smoothly upon your arrival.

Who and when will refund my deposit?

When you check in the accommodation you had booked, you will pay the accommodation provider the deposit, which is specified as one of the flat conditions. It is therefore the accommodation provider who will be responsible for refunding the deposit at the end of your stay.

Under what circumstances would the provider not refund my deposit?

The deposit is a guarantee that is taken upon check in and is supposed to be refunded prior to the tenant’s check out. However, if the accommodation has suffered from any damage or the tenant has not completed the contract signed, the accommodation provider might not refund the deposit, or refund it partially.

Do I have to pay the monthly rental through Beroomers?

No. Tenancy agreements are signed with the accommodation provider upon arrival and, as specified in the tenancy agreement, the monthly rent payments are to be settled directly with the provider.

Can I make a booking on behalf of a third person?

Yes, as long as the contact details provided for the booking are those of the person who will be living in the accommodation booked. Our system allows registration and payment details to be from different people (for example payment details could be your parents’ or a friend’s as you use their card to complete the booking).
Please consider other Roomers will have access to the profile of Roomers living in a shared flat, and will base their decision on that, so it is important to have the right information of the person who will be living in that room.

Can I send a request for more than one apartment at the same time?

At the moment it is not possible to send a booking request for more than one accommodation. However, if the accommodation that you have chosen is not available we will immediately get hands on to find another option that meets your requirements.

What happens if I have not received an answer after two working days?

If we have not received an answer from the accommodation provider after 2 working days, the reservation will be considered as cancelled and no money will be charged on your account. In this case, we will get in touch with you as soon as possible to offer another option that meets your requirements.

Can I contact the accommodation provider before booking my accommodation?

The accommodation provider’s contact details will be facilitated only after the booking has been completed and confirmed for you to get in touch with him/her and accordingly organize everything for your arrival.

Cancellation and Privacy Policy

What happens if I want to cancel my booking?

We understand sometimes things do not work out as expected and you might need to cancel your booking. The procedure to cancel a booking is simple: contact us via mail at support@beroomers.com, informing us about why you are cancelling the booking. We will take care of informing the provider. Please note Beroomers has a Cancellation Policy, which we suggest you check, in order to have a better understanding of what amount of the booking will be refunded.
